Nickelodeon Reveals Images of “Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie”

Nickelodeon is kicking off their return to classic 90s Nick at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, with the “Happy Happy! Joy Joy!: 25 Years of Nickelodeon Original Animation panel. At this panel, “Hey Arnold!” creator Craig Bartlett revealed artwork from the upcoming Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie, which shows off our favorite Football-headed hero along with his tall-haired best friend and the rest of gang as they go on an adventure to find Arnold’s long lost parents. The characters have all gone through some designs changes, giving them a fresh new look, all while keeping the original design choices when the show first aired back in 1996.

The artwork shown above and below has Arnold still rocking his old attire along with new blue jacket. His best friend Gerald also has went through a design change with his character rocking a red hoodie over his long sleeves. Helga’s dress no longer has the V-neck, and Phoebe has ditched the long sweater for a two-piece jacket and skirt.

Along with the artwork, we got to see the designs of Grandpa and Arnold’s pet pig Abner in a cool character sheet lineup.

Now, while this reveal shows off our main cast, it also leaves out other characters from the show For instance: Where’s grandma? I sure hope nothing has happened to her. She was one of my favorite characters from the cartoon. And what about Stinky, Harold, Lila, Big Bob, Mr Hyunh, Sid, and all the other characters? What about that annoying, heavy breathing kid that always sneaks up on Helga? What happen to the Stoop Kid? Did he finally do something with his life beside staying on the stoop? Well whatever happens, I’m looking forward to seeing how this upcoming film wraps up the series next year.
